Reading Plans
This section has all the reading plans that I had for my students for each book that we read together. It's in order and there are clickable links. Each plan is different from one another and they each have different goals from one another as well.
Reading Plan for week one:
In the first week of being with each student for the first time there were certain goals that we had to reach together and they were:
We reached each of these goals together with a little help with the reading plan I put together to keep the student and myself on track.

- Introducing myself to the students
- Getting to know them a little bit by having them fill out a survey about themselves
- Helping them take a Self Assessment test to see what their strong and weak points are in reading
- Reading the first book together and discussing it afterwards; the topic, main idea, and objective of the book

Reading Plan for week two:
In the second week with my students, we took some time to go over their previous vocabulary words. I also have new goals for this week which are:

- Check their homework
- Introduce the new book
- As we read, he/she will write down the new words along with the sentence
- Introduce what "inference" is
- Assign their new homework: define the new vocabulary words and to interview someone about a turning point in their life

Reading Plan for week three:
In the third and final week of meeting with my students we will go over how to spot different types of writing styles. Some new goals for this week are:

- Going over the vocabulary from last week
- Going over their story that they wrote from the interview from someone else
- Reading the new book and discussing what type of writing style it is (poetry)
- Giving new vocabulary words
